ECO Bamboo 12mm

*Please check the current availability of these products.* About Eco Bamboo Bamboo is a self re-generating grass that originates from China, meaning that once it has been harvested it does not need to be replaced as it will continue to grow. It grows very quickly and reaches maturity in approximately five years, making it a very eco-friendly alternative to hardwood (that can take over twenty-five years to reach maturity). Bamboo fibres are longer than timber and provide excellent tensile strength. Bamboo flooring is becoming more popular and desirable because of its strength, durability, sustainability and eco-friendly properties. It is also treated to resist both insects and fire.

Benefits of Bamboo Flooring

Environmental Friendly
Golden Elite Eco Bamboo flooring is a highly renewable resource that is able to grow to maturity in as little as three to five years. Cold Press Solid Boards utilize the click system for easy installation. With superb E0 emission rating , it creates a better environment for your health.

Thanks to its unique composition, bamboo is naturally designed for strength.
Unlike wood, bamboo has no rays or knots, allowing it to withstand more stress throughout the length of each stalk.
Bamboo?s sectional anatomy, both as a cane and on a microscopic fiber level, enhances its structural integrity
The high silica content in bamboo fibers means the material cannot be digested by termites.
Bamboo contains different chemical extractives than hardwood, which makes it better suited for gluing.

Climatic Suitability
Compared to hardwood and other flooring options, bamboo has high climatic suitability because it grows in the tropics. This makes it suitable for areas that hardwood is not. Bamboo also does well in both arid and humid climates because it does not swell and contract like hardwood.

When considering the durability of the flooring combined with the looks, and eco-friendly factor, bamboo flooring is one of the most cost-effective options for a home because it is less likely to need repair in the long run.

Style & Variety
Golden Elite Bamboo Flooring has a large range of colours that are guaranteed to please. The natural grains will provide your floors with a unique look.

Bamboo flooring evokes a sense of serenity and warmth through its natural appearance. It?s soft to the touch and will provide a comfortable environment for your home.

Easy to Maintain
Bamboo is relatively easy to maintain. You just have to sweep or vacuum it regularly to remove small particle debris. You can also occasionally damp mop, or clean it with a non-wax, non-alkaline, hardwood, or bamboo floor cleanser.

Helpful Hint: When you use a damp cloth or mop to clean the floor, if wrung-out properly the mopped area should dry within one minute. Do not use steam mops on your strand woven bamboo floor and you should avoid any oil based products, wax or liquid as they may affect the finish.

Doormats for both inside and outside a door are a good preventative idea and all furniture that is stationary on the bamboo floor should have felt pads attached to their feet to prevent scratches or marks

Wear and tear can lead to a dull appearance, drying, or warping. To renew, seal and protect the surface, the bamboo requires refinishing.
Refinishing and sealing a bamboo floor is similar to refinishing and sealing any hardwood floor. After it?s done, your floors will appear brand-new.

When considering bamboo flooring?

It is important to know that not all bamboo is equal. Nor is all bamboo processing equal. If the bamboo is harvested prematurely maturely cut the result is low-quality, cheap bamboo flooring that will not last.

Timing is also important in processing bamboo. If it is not treated within three days after it has been cut, the bamboo can easily mold, making the resulting flooring look bland and dull.
